Florence loves working with children, teens and adults! 

She encourages her clients to grow and work towards goals, by helping them connect to their own strengths and inner wisdom. Florence has extensive training and experience in using EMDR Therapy, and often incorporates this into her practice. 

EMDR Therapy helps people to heal from the past with more adaptive ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that fit with the current circumstances - rather than the past. 

Florence enjoys working with adults, teens, and children of all ages. Kids and parents love Florence's kind, warm presence in therapy. She has a genuine way of helping her clients feel welcome and at ease. 

As a Registered Play Therapist, she uses play to help younger clients express their feelings and experiences in a natural setting. Along with Play Therapy and EMDR Therapy, Florence uses Sand Tray Therapy,  Filial Therapy, Theraplay, TF-CBT, and DBT.  These are therapies to strengthen relationships, support parents, and help heal from trauma,. She also frequently teaches parents and caregivers skills and techniques to enhance their relationship with their child - with kind support and without judgment. 

Florence Mancuso was born and raised in Kansas CIty, Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University, her Master of Arts from Webster University, and post Graduate work from Midamerica Nazarene University.  She has experience working in a multitude of counseling settings including inpatient psychiatric care, intensive outpatient care, group therapy and outpatient services since 2008.
