Victoria Ford provides therapy for individuals of all ages, including families and couples. She is a co-founder of Water Street Family Counseling, and has practiced for over 18 years. Victoria’s gentle, warm spirit invites clients to feel at ease. She is passionate about supporting individuals in all of their important relationships; including with themselves. She has successfully worked with hundreds of individual clients to overcome self criticism, depression, nagging worry and discontent, and past negative or traumatic experiences.
Victoria is an EMDR Certified Therapist. EMDR is a powerful and effective therapy that activates and supports our natural healing process. It works to recover from previous traumatic experiences, or chronic childhood experiences that might be affecting one's current life and relationships. She often finds success and a quicker road to recovery for clients with this approach, versus months or years of trying to use traditional talk therapy, or just tough it out. She is committed to her clients' wellness and enjoys the fruit of the work!
Victoria received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication in 1995 from California State University, Hayward. She completed graduate work at Friend's University, Mission, Kansas, where she received a Master's of Science in Family Therapy in 2000. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in Missouri

I'm a parent and spouse and daughter too... I don't do it perfectly but learn and grow along the way. I'm dedicated to making a difference for the people I get to work with every day.
All of us carry the strength and abilities we need to get through even the most difficult times. I've seen it! However, we need each other. Going it alone is not the design for wellness. My training, experience and heart is all about creating more understanding, healing, joy and contentment for each one of you. I'm also committed to my own self care, including practicing mindfulness, a healthy spiritual life, and taking good care of my physical health. The better I do for me...the better I can do for you!
